Job Description
Your new role
We’re looking for people who have a real drive to make a difference—for our customers, for each other, and for CSC.
This role is a 12 month contract position.
The role of the Unit Pricing Analyst is to assist the fund accounting manager in undertaking a daily quality assurance review of unit prices struck by CSC’s custodian, ensuring CSC’s procedures and methodology of the unitisation process are compliant with best practice guidelines for the protection of members’ interests.
Key accountabilities for the role include:
Review and update the unitisation methodology and process as required so that CSC remains compliant and maintains ‘best practice’ in the industry
Reverse engineer pricing calculations prepared by CSC’s custodian from a daily and monthly perspective to review their validity/accuracy, minimise errors and to inform relevant decisions
Review fee and tax accruals to ensure accruals and rates remain appropriate
Prepare and send daily earning rates
Assist with Finance team project work as required
Maintain teamwork and own learning so that CSC’s capacity grows over time
Specific duties, deliverables and reporting lines may vary from time to time dependant on business needs and priorities. Key objectives and measurements will be captured in the Performance & Development planning cycle, established annually and adapted as needed.

Degree from a recognised tertiary institution in Finance, Accounting or Commerce
Appropriate professional qualification, or studying towards (e.g. CA, CPA or equivalent; CFA)
Excellent communication skills, ability to articulate a complex issue to others and to influence and negotiate.
Self-motivated to identify, investigate and follow up issues until full resolution.
Advanced level of Microsoft Excel and proficient working with complex templates
Applied knowledge and experience of financial analysis to provide insight into investment valuation movements.
Experience with large financial management information systems (e.g Technology One, SAP, Oracle etc)
Experience in the financial services industry
