About the role
As an experienced Case Manager, you will focus on gathering, interpreting and evaluating complex information, including legislative and medical evidence, to make fair and consistent decisions. You will manage a portfolio of claims, using critical thinking to assess each case and deliver fair, timely decisions that support customers’ financial wellbeing through their superannuation.
You will play an important role in supporting customers through what can be a difficult time, using sound judgement and a strong analytical approach. Your ability to clearly document and communicate assessments will be key to ensuring decisions are well understood and professionally presented.
With a strong customer focus, you will approach every interaction with empathy and care, ensuring customers feel supported, informed and guided throughout their journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of claims end-to-end, progressing each case efficiently and in line with service expectations
- Conduct case assessments through initial consultations and review complex evidence to support fair, informed and defensible decisions
- Build and maintain trusted customer relationships through clear, empathetic communication and ongoing support throughout the claim journey
- Collect, interpret and apply customer evidence and legislative requirements across a range of claim scenarios
- Prepare clear case summaries and maintain accurate, up-to-date records across CSC systems to support quality decision-making
What we’re looking for
- Australian Citizenship with the ability to hold and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in case or claims management, including managing a portfolio of cases end-to-end
- Strong experience in superannuation, with a sound understanding of life insurance products and the ability to assess complex evidentiary material, including medical and employment information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly and empathetically with a range of audiences and stakeholders
- Able to work independently, organise and prioritise tasks, and adapt positively to change
