Title - Senior Salesforce Developer 

About The Role

The Senior Salesforce Developer is a member of a cross‑functional delivery squad and plays a critical position in the design, development, and ongoing support of CSC’s Salesforce ecosystem, with a primary focus on Salesforce CRM and Web Self‑Service. As CSC continues to expand its digital and data capabilities, this role also contributes to initiatives across Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Mobile Publisher, Data360, and Tableau as these platforms are progressively adopted. The role also contributes towards the maintenance and enhancement of IT systems that support administration of superannuation schemes, ensuring they are compliant with legislation and scheme rules; and fit for purpose.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, and maintenance of Salesforce CRM and Web Self‑Service solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and performance
  • Provide technical leadership within the squad, including solution design, estimation, code reviews, and mentoring of other developers
  • Support CSC’s commercial interest by providing guidance to the Delivery Manager and Senior Manager on vendor estimates and solutions
  • Upskill and support junior Salesforce Developers with relevant technical capabilities
  • Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, UX designers, and testers and vendors to translate business requirements into high‑quality technical solutions
  • Implement best‑practice Salesforce development patterns using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, Flows, omnistudio and integrations
  • Support and enhance customer‑facing self‑service experiences, including portals, authentication, and case management workflows
  • Contribute to the adoption and integration of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Mobile Publisher, Data360, and Tableau as required
  • Ensure solutions are well documented and aligned with CSC’s architectural, security, and governance standards

Specific duties, deliverables and reporting lines may vary from time-to-time dependant on business needs and priorities. Key objectives and measurements will be captured in the Performance & Development planning cycle, established annually and adapted as needed.

 

What we are looking for in you 

Qualifications

Essential

  • Formal IT development qualifications (higher-level qualifications highly regarded)
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g. Platform Developer I/II)

Desirable

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g. Australian Computer Society) and technical certifications

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years’ experience as a Software Developer
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Salesforce Developer, including OmniStudio, Apex and Lightning Web Components, with proven Salesforce CRM implementation expertise
  • Experience leading development activities within Agile or Scrum (squad-based) delivery models
  • Ability to supervise, coach and mentor junior team members
  • End-to-end experience across the product development lifecycle (requirements, architecture, design, development and testing)
  • Experience using Jira or similar issue tracking tools
  • Experience designing and supporting Web Self Service or Experience Cloud solutions
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Mobile Publisher, Data360 and/or Tableau (or strong willingness to learn)
  • Experience with integrations and APIs, ideally using MuleSoft or similar platforms
  • Strong problem-solving capability within complex enterprise environments
  • Solid understanding of solution design patterns aligned to organisational requirements
  • Advanced proficiency in at least one core programming language (e.g. SQL), with exposure to others
  • Ability to develop, test and document software solutions in line with agreed standards and designs
  • Strong analytical, debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Collaborative team approach, with the ability to mentor junior staff
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
