Job Description

About the role

As the Manager, Emerging Risk you will lead the identification, assessment, and management of emerging risks across technology, transformation, data, and cyber domains. You will provide strategic oversight, ensures alignment with regulatory expectations, and support enterprise risk initiatives. You will also get to partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to embed proactive risk management practices and drive innovation in emerging risk frameworks.

  • Lead the design and implementation of emerging risk frameworks, focusing on technology, transformation, and cyber risk.
  • Monitor emerging risk trends and key risk indicators (KRIs) to inform proactive risk management.
  • Provide strategic advice on emerging risk issues to senior stakeholders and project teams.
  • Support enterprise risk initiatives and ensure integration of emerging risk considerations.

Specific duties, deliverables and reporting lines may vary from time to time depending on business needs and priorities. Key objectives and measurements will be captured in the Performance & Development planning cycle, established annually and adapted as needed.

Desired Skills and Experience

What we’re looking for

  • Solid experience (5+ years) in risk management, with exposure to emerging, operational, technology or cyber risk.

  • Proven leadership capability — able to set direction, influence at all levels, manage projects or people, and uplift risk maturity.
  • Confident communicator who can translate complex risk insights into clear, practical advice — including preparing Board and Committee papers.
  • A collaborative, forward-thinking mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships, drive change and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in risk, business, technology or similar (postgraduate study or professional certifications such as CRISC, CISM, CISSP or ISO 27001 are advantageous).
