About the Role:

The Defence Relationship Manager focuses on partnering with Australian Defence Force (ADF) bases and Defence stakeholders to deliver value add services to Defence personnel.

This role focuses on delivering valuable, tailored services to Defence personnel, including both Australian Public Service and ADF members. The Defence Relationship Manager will play a crucial role in driving the growth, development and management of strategic relationships with our key employers, primarily the ADF, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and the unique needs of Defence personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key Defence contacts across Australia
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support CSC’s strategic goals
  • Conduct research to develop effective account plans and tailored solutions
  • Deliver support services aligned with Defence’s superannuation obligations and value proposition
  • Provide engaging education programs to grow and retain Defence membership
  • Offer expert advice on superannuation and stay up to date with legislative changes
  • Identify and resolve operational issues through innovative, continuous improvement strategies
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to identify, mitigate, and resolve operational issues, driving continuous improvement

What we’re looking for

  • Australian Citizenship with the ability to hold and maintain a Baseline Clearance
  • RG146 qualification or ability to obtain
  • Experience in either superannuation, financial or government services
  • Passion for delivering excellent customer service
  • Strong understanding of ADF structure and major bases nationwide
  • Ability to build senior-level relationships and develop mutually beneficial client solutions
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and result-driven skills
  • Proven ability to drive results and influence others through effective communication, negotiation and persuasion
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
  • Great interpersonal skills and professional presentation
  • Collaborative team player who can also work independently
