About the role
As our Linux Infrastructure Administrator, you will take the reins of a dynamic Linux environment and support it during a transition to the cloud era. You will be a seasoned Senior Linux Administrator who thrives on solving complex problems, automation and maintaining stability in our various systems.
You’ll be a key player in shaping the future of our infrastructure in bringing innovation, stability, and speed to everything we do. And support to junior cybersecurity staff while working in collaboration with the broader team.
What you will do
- Manage and optimise a diverse fleet of Linux systems across multiple environments
- Design and implement automation for provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using tools like Ansible, Terraform or your scripting language of choice
- Develop reusable templates and frameworks to standardise deployments and reduce manual effort
- Drive platform maturity by identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements that boost performance, reliability, and security
What we’re looking for
- You must be an Australian Citizen with the ability to hold and maintain a baseline clearance
- 6+ years of experience in Linux infrastructure and application administration
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field desired
- Relevant certifications such as Red Hat Certified System Administrator, or equivalent certifications
- Advanced scripting skills (e.g. Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform) for automation and orchestration
- Experience administering and updating Apache Tomcat, Wildfly, ActiveMQ and Web Server software
- Proactive nature with strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently
- Excellent communicator who can explain technical concepts clearly and effectively
- Calm, confident and resilient when navigating challenges or uncertainty
- Comfortable working remotely or in our office alongside CSC staff from different team
