Job Description

Your new role

As the Lawyer, you will be part of our Lawyer, General Counsel (GC) Team which provides high quality, business-focused legal services to support CSC’s business objectives. The Lawyer team works proactively and independently, with the support and supervision of a Team Leader and a great team.

You are responsible for the provision of a broad range of in-house legal and compliance services to CSC’s business areas. Our Lawyers will work within one of the following functional areas within the GC Team:

  • Compliance and Regulatory
  • Commercial and Investments
  • Dispute Resolution and Casework

Desired Skills and Experience

What you’ll need to excel

  • 1 – 4 years’ post-qualification experience in legal practice relevant to CSC, preferably with exposure to commercial/ superannuation/financial services/corporations law environment          
  • Open to constructive feedback, with a growth mindset
  • Ability to proactively manage a varied workload, to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • A team player who partners and engages effectively with other team members to achieve business outcomes.
  • Solid academic record
  • Due to the nature of CSC’s business and industry, ideally you will be proactive, driven and commercial-minded
